I-Team: Judge Bans Lawyers From Court After Bad Press

Judge Valorie Vega has recused herself from all cases involving attorneys Norm Reed and Adrian Lobo, who spoke to the press after the all-night deliberations Vega forced jurors to endure to accomodate her vacation schedule. Vega appears on video stating "I told counsel this case had to be done by Thursday because I am packing up and leaving town and going on vacation for two weeks." (See the I-Team Report.)

From 8 News Now on March 2nd:
"Citing 'post-Fakoya trial media matters,' Judge Vega disqualified herself from all of Reed and Lobo's 17 criminal cases, including two that involve the death penalty."

Judge Vega has also faced recent speculation about her trial schedule after the Las Vegas community was made aware that she was leaving court early to attend her daughter's soccer games.
